INSTRUCTORS:
Lara Chance
Lara began riding at age 7 and was actively competing by 14. She started out riding western in Texas and was then introduced to the sport of Eventing. She has been been fortunate to have worked with many top trainers and has been educated as a true horseman. In addition to riding and training, her knowlege
and emphasis to datail hasearned her many opportunities as a professional groom. She has galloped race horses and rehabbed many OTTBs.Whether teaching horses or riders, she builds a strong foundation both riding and on the ground. Lara truely enjoys helping horses and riders gain confidence, and improve with each ride. Lara communicates well with all ages and levels of riders. RATES: Lesson Packages $250 per month/1 hour lesson per week. Single lessons are $70. ea. A limited number of "working student" positions are available.

Beginner* - 15 minutes of grooming/tacking 30 minutes riding
15 minutes horse care/tack clean-up
* beginner lessons include information & instruction that
includes work, research, and exercises to be completed
at home at an appropriate level for age.

Intermediate** -
15 minutes of supervised warm-up 45 minutes of instruction.
** Rider is responsible for grooming & tacking horse and must
be ready for warm-up at designated lesson time. Additionally,
each rider will properly cool/groom horse & clean/put away
tack after lesson. 
Advanced *** -
60 minutes of instruction.
*** Rider is responsible for grooming &
tacking horse, warming-up, and must be ready lesson
at designated time. Additionally, each rider
will properly cool/groom horse & clean/put away
tack after lesson.
All riders must provide their own ASTM approved
helmet and have proper boots with heels.
All riders and both parents or legal guardians of
minors must sign a release.


All riders under the age of 18 must have a parent
or legal guardian with them for the first lesson.
After the first lesson any parent or legal guardian
leaving their child at Elmington Farm, LLC without
their direct supervision, must sign a letter of permission
for their child to be left under the supervision of the
consigned instructor
